Our 1st Annual Leave

Vacation

We want to start by saying we know for those who follow this blog regularly it’s been a long while since we’ve posted anything, there are a number of reasons for that but none really worth mentioning more than this one… We were at Home!

As an Ex-Patriate family living in a foreign land away from all that is considered the “norm” one of the best things about going home isn’t just the familiar places, familiar foods, familiar driving patters, the ability to speak the language, and understand the prices – it’s none of the above – the best thing about going home is being able to see Friends and Family. This being our first Annual Leave we decided to pack as much as we could in those 37 days as humanly possible. We went from Johannesburg to Maryland, drove up to NY/NJ and back, flew down to StPete FL then drove to Ft Lauderdale, flew to Jamaica then back, drove up to Orlando, then back to StPete, a quick jetset to Nevada and back, then flew back to Maryland, and then made the trip back to South Africa – Whew… Madness I know especially with two kids under the age of 3.

Anyway Here are some of the moments we shared with friends and family all over…

1. GrandMa Nugent and Her GrandKids (Uncle Geoffery Commenting)

2. Our Trip to Jamaica to visit Family and Celebrate 50 years of Independence (not to mention the Olympics in London)

3. Video from BBQ on Labor Day in Maryland (we flew back to South Africa the next day)

For those who were present at this even all I have to say is one word: Ribs!

4. Lastly these are a few Videos & Pictures taken during Annual Leave that represent Memories we will cherish for a lifetime

Until Next time Be Blessed!
