New Years Eve

2011

News Year’s Eve 2011 was a fun and exciting experience that we will not forget for sometime. This had a lot to do with the preparation that went into this event. On Christmas Eve Lufingo suggested he had the perfect place for us to share a New Years Eve Meal and count down till midnight, which the guys all jumped on. We went and surveyed the place a day or so later, selected the room we would have, paid a deposit, and began brainstorming of what else we could do. We decided to do a music video for the ladies using “In the Still of the Night” so 7 married men met up at the Division office about 2 hours later and after a lot of laughter we produced the following video which we played for our Brides on New Years Eve…

It was a major hit with the ladies and set the tone for the fun we would have that night. There were 8 Couples in attendance, 9 if you count Karsyn and Sikhumbuzo, all dressed in Formal Attire sipping wine (veggie of course), eating “interesting” food and enjoying one another’s company, reflecting on the year that was ending and sharing our hopes and aspirations for the year to come. The night wasn’t without a number of mishaps, as with any occasion, but in the end it was just being able to hang with friends and family that made the evening one to remember. Here are some Pictures from our last Night in 2011!
